2009 FORUM REVIEW

Professional Motorsport Circuit Owners, Investors and Suppliers Forum 2009 again provided an opportunity for motorsport circuits to meet and discuss the issues they face as businesses: from planning and designing brand-new multipurpose motorsport ‘destinations’, through sustainability, revenue generation, track paving and maintenance, noise issues, circuit safety, legal liability, insurance risks, new technology and innovation as well as how to work with series organisers. The conference doubled in size from 2008 and did so in a year when other conferences have had their worst year ever. 165 attendees from 27 different countries in Europe, North America, South America, Middle East, Africa and Australia enjoyed two days of presentations and discussion, and excellent networking opportunities.

Representatives from iconic F1 circuits joined new and established national and regional circuits and a host of others planning expansion or in the process of being built, as well as others just taking a fresh look, looking for new insights into generating revenue or improving their facilities or operations.
